Peter & Alex,

Fantastic conduct gentlemen, great to see some mutual respect in the face of sensitive topics like IP & the challenges of product development.

Peter, put me on the list for a Resolator... I may have missed this - do you plan to make this an internal or external device?

hmm 2nd post, 2nd order, better find something useful to say  scratching

haha

... ((our Paul, who also did the Phisolator) working on it the whole day sofar).

I meant to mention this a while ago. Super impressive!

(And it's nice to know that us 'youngsters' (comparatively speaking) might still be able to get our NOS1s upgraded when Peter starts using a zimmer frame. prankster)

Hey hey hey ...
OK, I can do nothing else than put up another car picture ...
Resolator guy upfront.

Btw, "zimmer frame" sounds like sh*t. Rollator is what we say.

HA!!!

So nice to see the Triumph out of the garage.

Man, I can't remember the last time I was at your place - was it 5 years ago now? Anyway, Paul certainly isn't the cute little kid I remember! But the car suits him!

Yeah, that's what he thought too. But it doesn't work like that. And so he drives around in this :

Might someone be really waiting for the Resolator ... Because of picking up that design and the by now learned things from the Phisolator, it is getting worse and worse ... teasing
So a small update on that :

First we finished that design but with by now added knowledge so it could be operative. Then I thought : "why create something that will outperform another one on errors (yep, we measure the error rate which should be zero in all circumstances) but may not outperform on the sound quality because the basics will be the same as that other one." ...
So what I mean is that I know how I accept some glitches myself with the double Phisolator with the emphasis on "accept" and which may go the same with the ISO REGEN (I just read what John tells about it), while the Resolator will not show any glitch at all, no matter where and how it is used. All else should work out about similar and the difference will be the glitches only. That may not sell ...

And so we spend a full week on a completely new design which is packed with stuff that will genuinely make it better in the SQ department. Ha !
Well, not Ha, because when it was fully finished and ready to have the PCB produced, I sat back and started to think what other possibilies actually could be explored and which are not related to the isolation and actually also not to the re-generation of the USB signal.
Well, you may have noticed my sudden trials for another USB cable and all I want to say at this moment is that this is related ...

Right now I am investigating what chips exist that can fulfill my very new ideas. So the Resolator as such will not go out in its design as I have it now, but it will be a very new thing and outperforming everything and all. The name "Resolator" may still be part of a new name, but maybe the name will change all together.

bye
Peter
