Hi Peter,

This is in connection to your recent topic on Timers.

I got to the "stable" & "optimal" on RAM OS disk XXHE2.09. However the Time Stability always shows "Try change", until I refresh & then it shows "stable".

Is this normal?

Best regards,

Arvind

Hi Arvind,

I don't think that is correct (what you are saying, I mean). The below shows the two subsequent stages - 1st is before doing anything, 2nd is after Refresh.
I'd agree that it is hard to get confused, especially if you don't make a screenshot of the stage before doing anything ...
Anyway, the one which does not need Refresh as such, is easy to come by. The other one requires some deeper access in system's properties and for that reason it isn't obtained just when accessing Settings (99 out of 100 times you are not interested in these specific parameters).

OK ?

Best regards,
Peter

Hi Peter,

Today at the beginning of my music session, Time stability showed "Stable".

At the end of the session, I opened Settings & Time stability shows "Try change".

I'm sure if I refresh, Time stability will show Stable.

Best regards,

Arvind

There are other situations which Refresh under the hood. So once that happens (for the sesssion) it shows the actual state.

My (serious) response : so what ? if you only understand that the need for Refresh means that it does not show the actual state. "That needs a Refresh first", you are told.

Peter

When i use refresh i get Time Stability Stable - Stable

When i get from Unattended to Attended it is the same : Time Stability - Use Refresh

Oh boy. I am not going to repeat the same again. So this time I will say : read again. And again. And again. Until you understand (not addressing someone in particiular and it is clear that the subject is difficult).

The program does not sort this out automatically. You must do it yourself with a button. The button is named Refresh. After that the program rememers that state. Until you restart the program, then the state is lost.

Only the proper aspect ratio of video is a more difficult subject. Almost nobody in the entire world understands that. Why it is so difficult I can not understand.
Haha.
