How about a program to organize your music database:

Its has some nice futures like:
 
- all kinds of internet databases are connected.
- you can easly leave notes and memo's on every album, so if someone gave you an album, you can make a note of it.
- Also makes full use of tagging.
- etc etc

just check for yourself.........its not free.........but use the trial to get the feeling
