Well, this has been solved. How ?

Apparently Windows is "capable" of setting the PATH environmental variable wrongly. What exactly was wrong with it I could not see, but *if* something is wrong it just won't work and executing something while being in a certain folder (like the XX folder) while the program is in c:\windows\system32\ then won't work.

So for others, mind this please. A solution is available.

Hi Stanley,

Peter probably unchecked a "view" option in the Folder Options to be able to see some system files and folders that are normally hidden.

Doing this helps when trying to diagnose some problems Happy
