Hi Peter,

Maybe a stupid question but...........I don't like the idea to use another PC (audio discs) in the room connencted to Audio PC (XXHE). Is there a possibility to give the Raspberry PI 2 with Win10 IoT this functionality?

benefits: small, no noise, low power consumption,....

Regards Johan

Hi Johan,

I don't see why not. Not a bad idea.

Let me know when you gave set this up and working.
Make a nice guide for it too, ok ?
haha

But I am not going to do it; same as that I am not going to set up a million NAS devices for you all and try/test them.

Read : You can do this yourself. And if not, maybe someone else.

Btw, if you don't like another PC in the room, just put it elsewhere ? Ethernet can do 160 meters or so, without additional repeater.

Regards,
Peter

Hi Johan,

Perhaps you could bake another 'pie': BananaPi has SATA connector - enabling you to connect 2.5" HDD with onboard 5V power supply or even
3.5" HDD with external 12V+5V power supply. What I read on BPy forum, 4TB "WD Red" HDD was connected without any problem. See no reason
not to work with W10 IoT as well.

Brgds,
George
