Hi Peter,
           I've read everything but was wondering in regards to applying this updated file to Ram OS.

What is the basic procedure to do this?

I am looking at just using the patch over MyW10-10586.vhd file which I have backed up. Doing this in 10656 TRIAL(Normal OS mode).

My recent Ram os disk partition expansion should remain in place?

Will I have to activate 206?

Hey Robert,

Boot into 10586.0 BASE.
Go to the XX folder in there (just on Drive C: as you are used to) and unzip the UpgradePatch file over it.
Done.

This is really all and no Re-Activation is needed.

Btw, I made this new procedure exactly for the RAM OS Disk users. And, it would be true that when you back up the MyW10-10586.vhd file, you can go back to the old version by simply adding that file (with its other name) to the boot menu. Boot into it et voliá.

Oh yes. That is not related at all.

Peter all worked perfectly 206 up and running in Ram OS. Sound is better. Thanks.

I did try the old Xxhighend 2.04 in another drive updated to 206. But sound is no comparison to Ram OS. Quickly reverted to Ram OS.

Still issues with Hi Res files, some play whole albums at .10 SFS, others at 1 SFS and some only at 4 SFS. Anyway have been largely listening to 16/44.

Hi Robert - Thank you for this feedback.

Maybe it is time that I explicitly play HiRes so I can see what issues could be. I think I said earlier (elsewhere) that some times HiRes coincidentally pass by, but I have no issues with those occasions. Actually this is a bit odd, because some longer ago (1-2 years ?) for me it was necessary to higher the SFS with HiRes.

If I find something I will let know.
