I have been rather busy with other things recently (like cycling !!) and did not install 2.08d until the other day.

Listening last night the sound quality is simply superb natural sounding. I had not had time before to really appreciate it so I just wanted to say thanks Peter.

Time for my reaction then.

I installed 2.08d during the weekend and listened for a few hours since. Apart from an overall better sound, there's another thing that is very noticeable in my situation.

The stereo image was not always stable and a little asymmetrical (in analogy: like you can't see pin sharp). Some albums suffered more from this than others.

But with 2.08d it's gone. I can "see" sharp now. The stereo image is more stable, which makes listening more enjoyable.

I don't know if others have experienced this also, or that it is system specific.

I note with interest, peoples different SFS settings. It would seem almost everyone has something different from .7 to 120.

I was running .9 but tried 1.5 then 1.8 and now 2.8. I tried 10 but definitely thin sounding for me.

I tried to set to 3 as per Paul's but it just resets to 2.8. I do prefer it at 2.8 at the moment. I also tried 2x 1.8 and it would not stick at 3.6.

Certainly got a great sound. I do notice differences seem easier to hear between settings with 2.08d.
