Hello Peter. This is my first post here.  I find XX the best "CD"-player around.  It makes very open focused dynamic sound coming out of my QUAD 989's very happy
I recently upgraded to 09-Z4-0 and can not get it to play.  Z2 and Z3 works still fine.  Z4 will not start engine3  unhappy
Could it be my PC specs that are too low ( only 2GB Ram )?
I tried nearly all settings possible and reinstalled several times...

Likes Z2 very much but curious to hear if z4 has improved. smile

I have tried both activated and unactivated...no luck yet
It will play with KS engine 4 but only to Juli@ wave out...not SPDIF  scratching
do you have any ideas to try?
Thanks and All the Best

Well, a first post sometimes incurs for a Welcome !

But what can you do with that ?
Ok, at this moment I can tell you that I have exactly one user telling (offline) a sort of the same. Of course I told him "user error", but only because it seemed a single occasion, and without a year of experience nothing may work with 0.9z-4-0.

But when long time hidden users start to complain, I must put my attention to the other user and offer some apologies I guess.

More importantly, maybe I can make up something out of the two of you (similarities).

Quote
Z4 will not start engine3

What do you mean by this exactly ? Error messages ?
Obviously you tried "Mixed" for memory. But to be sure, did you ?

Meaning ? ... different compared to earlier versions ?

Let me know.
Thanks,
Peter

Hi Again Peter.
thanks for taking time to respond.

I installed the older 0.978 Juli@ driver which gave me channel 3-4 for KS so now I have sound.  Thx Gerard for advise on that. very happy

Still with engine 3 it will not work. It shows an error message that engine 3 did not start.  Here the text from that window (sorry for the Danish Happy  and yes I have tried Mixed and Mixed Contig no difference...But at least I now have sound to play with.
Note though that Engine3 works fine with versions 09-z2 and 09-z3 ...

Ok, thank you for the help. It was an error - actually because I never tested Engine#3 for 0.9z-4-0 (well, as it appeared). Everybody will have had it, but not many people use Engine#3 anymore.

It will be solved for 0.9z-4-1.
