Hi Peter,
I setup ramdisk already and all other settings that could be done without activation. Tried multiple tracks with and without ramdisk.
Tomorrow I will try a clean startup again. First without ramdisk, and try activation first.

But, ... you suggested/implied I think that I already said (Release Notes) that this should be done outside of the RAMDisk. But did I ? I merely think I forgot ...
But it would be very true that first the RAMDisk must be "not used". Not even sure though ...
Any insight ?

I ran through the same problem as Arjan. I did use the ramdisk, but not to execute XXHighEnd in it, just for the transfer of the music in the playdrive.
I will reinstall XXHE tomorrow and report.

Hi Arjan, Can you tell ... What exactly means "installed again" ? I mean, you could have started with formatting your disk (haha) up to delete your latest XX 2.00 folder and create a new one and nothing else (and then it worked) ... and anything in between. Thanks, Peter |

Hi peter,
Just deleted the XXdata and XXhighend2.00 folder from my C: drive.
Copied XXHighend 2.00 in again and started the XXHighend.exe. Did the minimum to run some tracks and activated.
The first time I just copied the XXhighend2.00 in started the .exe but also did all the settings including RamDisk. Before running tracks and try to activate. But that was not possible.

All, For some (for sure not all) it could happen that the Activation wouldn't work (as described in this topic). This is now solved in the new 2.00-a version, available in the original topic : XXHighEnd Model 2.00 - New Filters & Extended Remote Control. You can deleted the contents of your old XX-2.00 folder and unzip the new 2.00-a over it. Or make a new folder (all not important). Apologies for the inconvenience ! Peter PS: If, for some reason outside this issue, you download this new 2.00-a version and use that, you will not be Activated. But the procedure for such a thing is known (money is returned right away). |
