46  Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Re: 6a skips the last piece of the last song in the playlist on: April 09, 2009, 12:57:33 pm
The same with 2 songs. The arrow on the bottom is left standing at the end of the last song and the current song is no longer marked in grey/blue in the playlist.

Testing with only 2 songs now...
48  Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / 6a skips the last piece of the last song in the playlist on: April 09, 2009, 10:39:01 am
As stated in the heading. When I load several songs into the playlist and start playing: when ca. in the middle of the last song, the player stops without playing the last couple of minutes of that last song.

This is attended. WAVs 16/44. No matter which songs/albums, same problem.

Your suggestion worked.
50  Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / "Nothing" error pops up on: April 03, 2009, 04:52:04 pm
Installed X6a. When starting the program without any files in the playlist, e.g. empty playlist, an error pops up stating "Nothing." and an OK button.

The same happens every time I start playback, attended or Unattended. Have tried without stopping services, same.

Have not installed shortcut-key programs (just clicks the XX icon on the screen when I want to access XXs menus again).

And, the tracks Im trying to play has not a folder.jpg saved.

Don't think you can use that under XP, only Vista.
53  Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Channel unbalanced in favor of the right on: February 26, 2009, 10:54:56 pm
Seems to have an unbalanced playback of 2ch material from my HTPC when using XX. The center of the audio scene in front of me has moved a meter to the right. This only pertains to playback through XX. Other sources from the same HTPC, games, DVDs seems to function normally.

Will try tonight to use WMP and other programs with the same source materials and also try an old version to see if this something which has happened with the last versions.

Any known bugs/faults regd. this Peter?
54  Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Re: 0.9x-3 -- minor bugs on: February 22, 2009, 07:39:35 pm
I have the same error report showing up, but in a different context.

If I load the playlist with separate songs from different albums and play unattended, this error window SOMETIMES shows itself when the player goes to the next song, and usually when there is NO coverart in the folder which the next song resides.

Verdana is more modern and more readable. Actually I prefer that one. My 2c.

Didn't help much, P!  Happy

They all interact is what I get out of that... LOL...
Late now, will try some more ltr.

All of these controls exibit a subtle difference, there's not "heaven or earth" differences when you operate the sliders...

Dont know if there's such a "universal truth" about these or if they may conclude to something different on each system tested, I have too little explained from Peter in detail WHAT THESE DO...easier to use them to implement any changes if we were told what they do. In DETAIL...

Ok, some more testing, better at my place ATM: 4,30,30,17,17.

More fullness, not just etched "pictures".

Sounds natural, good bass etc.

Tested with Jennifer Warnes The Well album.
59  Ultimate Audio Playback / Phasure NOS1 DAC / Re: World's first NOS 24/192 filterless DAC ? on: February 16, 2009, 03:37:38 am
Earlier versions was not uniformly better than todays, no, IMO. The right description would be more like a rollercoaster ride with incredible ups and downs...

There has been gold nuggets all around. But there's been a lot of cr*p too... Happy

(Beeing truthfully here, hope you don't mind, P!)

What I really would like to see in XX is support for either a simple EQ with some 16-20 bands, or possibilities for linking to e.g. Audiolense etc.

Then each of our (very different) choice of TASTE in SQ reproduction will be taken care of in a good way. I for one would be very happy with an standard EQ.

Sry about the distraction somewhat from the disc. about the NOS and other DACs but the issue kind of cropped up earlier in this thread...

Tried Leifs settings 4,17,17,0,0 and yes it got a little "clearer", removes some hash? Dunno. Too late for more testing tonight.

As comp. to 14,0,0,0,0.
