has anybody considered building a linear pc psu?
would be interesting?
or maybe put BG caps on the different lines from the sm psu to start with?
here´s a guide in Norwegian about the different connectors and their pin no´s and voltages in a std pc psu
the important tables should be easy to figure out even if they´re in Norwegian

just an update:
having a day off today and now I´m listening to live at blues alley with eva cassidy and have tried back and forth with or w/o upsampling and in my system it´s no doubt: quad and AP gives the reproduction more detailed ambience and realistic sense of space
the voice and the applause is also presented more free standing from the acoustic venue
nobody´s frying bacon here the applause have substance and body
bass is also more nuanced and easier to follow
and then I don´t really give a rats ass what works better in other systems;
like the true ego I am;i only care about myself and my system

general improvement even more obvious on high rez material except of course I had to set the xx to no oversampling!
better resolution gives better sight into the ss

he was one of the most famous jazz recording technicians that made e.g many of the well known SAVOY recordings etc
and his trademark was a slight echo that added ambience to the recordings.

I run q1=4 q4&5=0
by varying q2 and 3 I add ambience to the room
when too high(above 20) it tends to be rudy van gelder like echo
when down towards 0 it is way too dull and dead
imo
