The problem is fixed doing the following:

- Create a new folder.  I called it "Compilations" instead of "Playlists".  I moved all the folders containing multiple tracks under this new folder.  I no longer get the error.  Something seems to have happened in resolving file paths that this simple process fixed.  Nik: perhaps you can try this.

Hi Peter, long time no speak, ahm, no e-mail Happy
My case: it is not 'playlist' per se, just a number of files randomly chosen from different albums and put into same folder. Like example, 'good' or 'night music' or like, f.e. member 'tore', 'tore's choice' etc. Files (larger number, like 40, 50 or more) are loaded through XXHE explorer, played on standard PC, not audio PC and not minimised/optimised Windows. XXHE will not play until I click away that small window 'Check Coverart' and message 'CoverartPath is empty'. This repeats for each file in so formed 'playlist'.

EDIT: Better word would be 'play cue' iof 'playlist'

What is a "Playlist" in this realm ?
The only phenomenon Playlist as such is one from Tidal. And Tidal stopped working for XXHE to begin with.
Playlist Area is something else, but there is no difference between one album or two or 20 with a couple of tracks of each.

And so I guess it requires some elaboration ?
Nothing stopped working over here.

Thought my W10 was damaged but same repeats on W11 as well.

That is Fishy because only 14393.0 is supported, and some older of course.

Have same error for a very long time. Tried to solve it by adding any photo named 'folder' (.jpg, .png) in directory - no success, error repeats (as well as need to confirm OK on every file). Thought my W10 was damaged but same repeats on W11 as well.

Playing the playlist using Windows Media Player works fine, so wondering if this has something to do with how XXHE handles cover art for playlists where each track essentially has a different associated album cover.

When playing some newly prepared playlists, I get a dialog box saying "Check Cover Art" with the message "CoverartPath is empty".  This does not happen with albums, only with playlists.  Previously prepared playlists play fine.  Does anyone know what causes this error.  I can click "OK" and playback resumes, but it is a both when trying to play a long playlist.

Happy Happy Happy

To avoid misunderstanding : creating those interconnects (make new connectors on to them) is a matter of not fitting. SQ will be fine anyway. In the post of that link you see me talking about 0.5mm and such. It is about that. And without the tools, it is guessing until you have it right. The proper tool costs 400-600 or so.

Peter,

I was hoping to use these for RCA interconnects, not really concerned about 75 ohms.  This would not be for use with NOS1a, but as part of my HT system.  I've been using interconnects made with the Belden cable, and thought the Blaxius might be better for SQ.  I understand it is a bit of a job, so maybe I will just continue as is.

The problem is that I have become so used to the Phasure system, that every time I listen to the HT setup I have, I keep trying to make it better.  Essentially, Mach II as player, Classe SSP-800 as processor, and now the old Linkwitz LX521 as speaker because I was concerned about LFE damaging the Orelo woofers.

Anyway, It's good to be listening to music again rather than speaking to analysts and investors!

Hi Ramesh,

1. Buy new Neutrik connectors in a suffcient amount so you can practice;
2. Practice on a piece of cable you won't be using;
3. Be prepared to spend 4-8 hours before you can make a decent connection.
4. Be prepared for eventual failure.

http://www.phasure.com/index.php?topic=3026.msg32839#msg32839

The Original Blaxius (thus in green form) has been the only cable I made myself for the mechanical part of that job (outside of soldering), mainly because it seemed inefficient to teach my partner in crime over here how to do it. In the end - with the sleeved cable - that happened after all and I recall that even this "teaching" took quite some hours.

Summarized : I don't think I can advise to do it. And you won't even know in advance how many connectors to buy ($10+ per piece) because you won't know how many will fail. The picture in the link I just gave is telling though - just count the pieces of cable for an approximation.

Best regards,
Peter

I have many, many meters of the original (green) Blaxius interconnects.  Can I use these to make shorter RCA interconnects? Any issues to keep in mind?
