I thought I just answered, but my post is not here. Hmm ... What I said was :
This is a know problem, and you should copy bits and pieces. It is about all being too much, *or* something wrong in a particulat folder. Anticipate on the first, until you can prove otherwise.
Same answer like before post Btw, your own post has gone too ... it's hard to understand what it's about now. Ok, you can't copy a lot of data, and the thing hangs for a minute or so and then errors out. Well, one of the reasons I found that this happens, is when you copy from folders that contain *and* normal data (like WAV) *and* meta data (MTA). Such a situation should not exists of course and the MTA should not be in there. Delete the MTA and it goes. *If* that is the cause of course.

After I clicked on an "icon" (not on a plus) and left it like that ? yes. But now I'm behinf the PC myself, I think I can see what the problem is ... Look again at my picture below ... The difference with what you have, is that I have a "main" Galery AllMusic. This is the one I "should" click after having clicked a deeper tree in order to reset back to "all". You can't because you don't have an "all". Now : You could say that the solution is to add a folder Galery above your "GALLERIES" (remember, it's just normal folders there you could manipulate with normal Explorer, or even the Embedded one), but it would be wrong. Why ? because then you'd have redundancy in one selection. This is because your e.g. Easy Listening could contain albums also contained in Instrumental. Thus, clicking your (now virtual) highest "AllMusic" folder would present double results. That's why AllMusic and the destractions of it should be at the same level. Thus : You "should" (if you want, that is) create a new folder e.g. AllMusic at the same level of the ones you have right now, and dump all your music in there (best would be with the original data as the source, also knowing that your current shown list might not contain all you have). Is this a bit clear ?

Thinkin of it again, in fact the double click wouldn't be much different from usual (that deselecting other stuff which ... I btw now wonder, because I think you could ctrl-doubleclick as well), so I guess I can make it. Okokokok.

Well, this should tell something (but what ??).
The first picture shows my Vista audio PC. It doesn't look right to me, and the deviation is 14 us or so. Veeery consistent, but with once in a while a drop to normal levels. The second picture is right after a reboot of Vista. It's a bit busy then (as usual).
This third picture is my offical HTPC, which I hardly care about, but for having the proper drivers etc. running, and, might it matter, it's tuned for PCI latencies (Chris, I think I once handed you a program for that).
The Vista machine seems to have a minimum of 992us (apart from the few drops) and that sure is smelly.

Sorry i did mean
1 click select 2 click start play Well, that is working allright. So now I don't understand again. Btw, did you know (if all is allright !!) that when a track is playing, and you click on another one more below, that that will be the next one playing (when the currently playing stops) ? I did not try it myself anymore, but that's how it's supposed to work (Attended that is).

You can't select this way, because you will be DEselecting the others. Also, how can I ever play anything with one click, once the same one click is for selecting (or/and : try to imagine what it would take for me to let all the functionalities keep on working). Btw, could you explain what is so necessary about starting a track with one click or double click instead of one click + Play ? I honestly don't get it.

HI Peter,
I would be nice to have: When I start pressing keys when the library area is active it would start finding and autoscrolling to the albums sarting with those letters I type. Like in windows explorer. It would be in addition to search button functionality.
Thanks Andrey
That just works Andrey, as long as you type in that field right next to the Search button. DO NOT PRESS THAT BUTTON. It's not needed. Btw, the typing as you ask for was in there, but it just doesn't (cannot) go along with selecting. You can imagine that. Peter
