Btw, my responses to Gerard are kind of wacky ... Peter You are right and i was wrong.. I just think back... There was a little time between the first and the second. That is caused because i cannot wright long sentences with my music pc. So i wright with my laptop and put the pic in with the other. You just jumped in between some changing/writing. Sorry

Peter, I don't think the slider is working properly (I'm not doubling or upsampling). When I try to 'fast forward' to the middle of a track with the slider, it ends up at the end of the track and then the next track starts. If I move the slider further, the next track just keeping on starting from the beginning. Yes, I just saw that in advance of you (trying the same album hehe). But do you (and Gerard !) imply that things go wrong only at using the slider ? And the slider thing did not work with the model before this one... the error Manisandher described is what happends. Attended indeed

(Not the first file...) (And going from track 1 to track 2) Oops. I didn't read that properly (but caused by your changed text, sorry). But then I wonder what you mean by "going from track 1 to track 2" ... this wouldn't be possible (?). I only did something with the first sentence. ( That was no good english) The rest was already there... I was playing WAV.

But Russ ... You are not going to tell me that you can get the 24 bit possibilities actually to work ? or ??
Hi Peter ... It all seems to be working as expected The control panel for the Juli@ card has indicator buttons that change green to indicate the sample rate being played. As the DAC test analysis is running, those buttons are initially lit at 44.1 then progress thru 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4 and finally 192. Using XXHE's volume control seems to be doing its thing also. If the Vol is set at 0dB, the Sony processor I use indicates 16bit @ 44.1KHz on its display. When I drop the volume to -6dB, the Sony then reads 17bits @ 44.1KHz. At vol = -12dB the Sony reads 18bits @ 44.1KHz, and so on , until, at -48dB, the Sony reads 24bits @ 44.1KHz. Playing back 24bit/96KHz WAV's has the Sony indicating 24bits @ 96KHz so that part is working as expected also. Seems like the Juli@ is a versatile card Cheers, Russ Peter, This i do not understand. I thought the higher near 0db things where getting better.... Or does that not have anything to do with the bit thing?

You must be doing something wrong or possibly don't understand how it works ? Maybe I will check.... But i am also meaning the spinning up from the drive.... Can i do someting with that? What I can do though, is provide a checkbox that allows you not to count the number of albums in a folder. That makes it, say, 10 times faster ... (and you don't have the numbers) ... Good idear!

Last night I saw the wait had more to do with waiting for my albums picture/selections to show up then it did explorer...(different folders with varying amounts of wavs would load faster/slower depending on how many albums where in folder/gallery). My largest gallery only takes a few seconds to load... no biggy. If I go to a folder with no wav folders... explorer window pops up quick.
Peter, Do you think that in the end it can be done a bit faster? Meaning the loading in from the albums? Or is this the max? Ik now it also takes a minute for the harddrive to speed up...
