I'am a very very happy W7 (tweaked) user. Still on the W7 RC 7100 version.
I would recommend to not use any other apps when ripping your precious albums with EAC to hdd. Also use "copy image and create cue sheet" option in EAC You will get better results (100%) Then make from it what you want. So no converting to FLAC during ripping
But I can do almost anything during playback of XX. This is not good for SQ, but yes I can. If I go to far I get crackels in my sound (but running a very stable system (with SSD) so far, and without virus-scan) SSD is my best upgrade for speed. Latest version of xx is very stable, no problems at all, only the things we know already.

These were mixed this way originally, using just 1 studio-monitor. Some fans insist that the mono mixes are superior to the stereo ones.
But this has a lot to do with nostalgic, those remaster versions. Hearing the cracking of Ringo Starr's crutch when playing drums.
Nostalgic and nothing to do with audiophile IMO. But I'am not going in discussion with real beatles fans, was not even born yet, so HELP!
(and what about commerce, how much costs the divorce of Paul???)

Did you know: If you want to test your speakers for correct connections, especially home-build. Set your sound to mono, and change the phase of 1 speaker.(change the + and -) Put them with the baffle against each other and leave about 1cm of space between both. If all is connect well, you hear nothing. (for closed cabinets ofcourse)
