Ultimate Audio Playback / Music Storage and convenient playback / Re: Due Remote features : URGENT QUESTION to all !

Hi all !
So, we are going strong, but just not strong enough. On that matter, I just added this text to the original post :
What I didn't make clear much, is that we must see this as a one-time operation. So, when I will purchase, this can happen one time only per the 100 (or more). This means that when you rather sit back and awaiten how things turn out, you will have nothing *or* have to wait for 50 others to have ordered which could take months.
This looks a bit threatening but isn't intended to be so; It's only that I realized that when the moving mass is critical(ly low) I just can not order that other 100 when you later decide to have a go for it after all. I know, this looks wrongish on my side (I should have stock, so to speak), but I guess this is how it turns out. So the only thing you can do - when in doubt for an order - is order anyway. Otherwise you will have nothing.
One other thing worth mentioning : I should order today soon for delivery next Tuesday (to me). Otherwise it will be a week later. It seems best to sit out that week anyway on the behalf of those who didn't find this topic yet (and next the above applies, which doesn't seem much fair).
Regards, Peter
If it is needed than i will order two pair. Not if it is needed. I just will order two.

Ultimate Audio Playback / Your thoughts about the Sound Quality / Re: Minimize OS

About Minimize OS... It does not seem to work anymore. I switched from Minimize OS to normal OS, then switched back to Minimize OS, but I am quite sure it is not working (too many processes and services still running). I switched back and forth, but no change I have that so now and than i use the restore point to go back. That works perfect!

Ultimate Audio Playback / Playback Tweaks and Source related subjects / Re: PCIe USB 3.0 host card - Technical impressions

... Hooked up to one of the MoBo's USB3 ports. The other (only) one connects to the USB3 disc I'm playing from.
Measurement-wise, I saw no difference anywhere. For possible driver (latency) etc. settings ? no difference again anywhere. However ...
When serious playback and listening had started, I brought up XXHighEnd at some stage, crossed it away and heard a crackling sound (as loud as the music I'd say). *Never* heard that before. A minute later, I touched the Alt button for Alt-X - same sound. After this I couldn't copy this behaviour anymore, but possibly didn't wait long enough for ? ... I don't know.
Later again, I cleared the Playlist Area (Unattended still playing) and again that crackling sound (lasts 0.1 - 0.2 secs).
To me this does not look good.
Btw, the NOS1 did not need to install on this never before connected-to port. It just worked right away.
Sound-wise I am not conclusive yet.
Peter
I have had crackling using the card Nick has. But until now the good sound makes it worth. As you say at the beginning but also at the end. Peter in the beginning you say Hooked up to one of the MoBo's USB3 ports. You mean PCIe?
