Hi Peter,

You were right, I was going ahead too fast & obviously making errors. Normal (non MQA) files work perfect without any problem. I’m going to continue for some more time & get the hang of Tidal.

Then the next step ahead.

Best regards,

Arvind

Hi Peter,

I prepared streams of 2 albums in the Intermediate folder, image attached (1).

Out of the 2 albums only one (Deep Purple in rock)  moved to the streams folder, the other (Burn) didn't move. In spite of repeated attempts.

When I tried to play the one that moved to the streams folder, from the Music Server PC, it doesn't play & I get a msg, which is attached (2). Even after rebooting, the same msg appears.

When I tried to play it from the Audio PC, it also doesn't play either. No msg in Audio PC.

Best regards,

Arvind

Well I can see all 3 albums in the streams folder (Temp). In the image (above) you can see that they are in the Temp folder.

Hi Peter,

For MQA should I set DAC settings in XXHE to 24/192 or even higher sampling rate?

I have attached another image (3) showing coverart of 3 albums, which are streamed & placed in the Streams folder. 2 of them don't show the red border & one of the doesn't have the \streams in the naming. Is this something to worry about?

Best regards,

Arvind

Hi Peter,

It seems the problem of no cover art while playback, at least in my case, was due to corrupt image files in a few of the FLAC music folders. I deleted the image files & downloaded new ones & now it’s working fine.

However starting Explorer from the Audio PC & trying to open the image files WAV or FLAC, does not open the files. From the the music server pc the image files open.

Hi Peter,

Accessing the Cover art image folder from the Audio PC is not possible, a window pops up “Class not registered”. This happens in normal OS as well as Min OS.

All my rips are using dBPoweramp & the cover art image is obtained through their database.

Arvind

Hi Peter,

Actually I had been just removing it after booting, however due to the OS getting corrupt a week or so back, I was just wondering if it was due to my just pulling out the drive. Of course I know now that wasn’t the reason.

Best regards,

Arvind

Hi Peter,

I understood what you wanted me to do yesterday. I did go into the FLAC files folder in the music pc through the Audio pc & I can’t open the image folder.

The same thing I tried today under normal OS,with the same end result.

Maybe will try to locate suitable drivers for it.

Best regards,

Arvind
115  Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Safely remove hardware can’t be found on: March 14, 2018, 12:57:25 pm
Hi Peter,

I am unable to locate the “safely remove hardware” icon in the taskbar. The only icons visible are Phasure Control panel & One drive not signed in.

I need it to eject the RAM OS disk after booting into RAM OS.

Arvind

Hi Peter,

From the music server the cover art files open (WAV as well as FLAC), however on the Audio pc neither open; a window pops up saying “Class not registered”.

Hi Peter,

Loading a WAV & a FLAC File from the NAS, I can see both cover art in sub folder “1”.

However in unattended playback only the WAV cover art is visible, FLAC File shows no cover art; just a black screen in the Audio PC.

Hi Peter,

Firstly I must apologise, cover art with FLAC files works ok with music on an external HDD (connected to music server). The problem lies only with NAS, which is also connected to the music server.

Hi Peter,

Unfortunately I still have the problem of no cover art using FLAC files. Whether the music data is on hdd or NAS, there is no cover art.

Best regards,

Arvind
